Cigar Shop Burglarized Again in Hometown

A Cigar Shop in Hometown was burglarized a second time in just as many months.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, on the morning of Tuesday, June 28th, 2022, around 3:10am, someone used a rock to shatter the glass door in the rear of the Cigar Box at 200 Claremont Avenue in Hometown, Rush Township.

The suspect entered the store, removed a cash register receipt printer valued at $900, various VAPE pens valued at approximately $3,000, and a bag of tobacco valued at $30.  The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The same store was just burglarized last month on May 18th, 2022 when someone used a small piece of concrete to shatter a glass door to make entry and steal approximately $1,000 worth of VAPE pens.

Anyone with information on either incident or may have surveillance video nearby is asked to call the Frackville barracks at (570) 874-5300.
