Patricia Veneski, 88, of Ashland, PA, passed away Wednesday, June 1st, at her residence.

Patricia was born in Locust Dale, on January 17, 1934, a daughter of the late Anna (Monroe) and William Fennessy.

She graduated from McCanns School of Business with an associate’s degree in business.

Patricia was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish Ashland.

She had worked as a secretary at Sky View Memorial Park Hometown.

She loved crocheting and embroidery.

Patricia was wife of the late John P. Veneski.

Patricia is survived by three daughters, Patricia Wilson, of Cleveland NC; Marie Trexler, of Raleigh NC; Eileen Moyer-Hylan, of Frackville, two sons John Patrick, of Belle Vernon; Stephen Veneski, of Yuma AZ.

She is also survived by 8 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Charles Borromeo Parish, Ashland, at 10:30 am on Friday, June 10th, with Rev. Brian Miller officiating.

Friends and Family may call Friday 9:30 am at St. Charles Borromeo Parish Ashland.

Interment will follow in Skyview Memorial Park Tamaqua, PA.

Susanne Johnson - Grindley,
64, of Towanda, IL, and originally Coaldale, PA., passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at 5:01 a.m. at St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, IL. Susanne was born on July 26, 1957, in Coaldale, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Robert and Bernadette Johnson. She married Gary Grindley on January 4, 1992, in Long Beach, California.

Susanne is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Gary Grindley of Towanda, her mother, Bernadette Johnson, and her brother, Joel Johnson. 

Also, surviving are her beloved German Shepherds, Rudi and Liesl. 

Susanne is preceded in death by her father and older brother, Robert Johnson. 

Susanne graduated from Marion Catholic High School, Bloomsburg University and had advanced degrees in Quality Assurance, Statistics, and an Executive MBA from Loyola University, Chicago. She had 39 years of experience in the food and beverage industry and held executive positions at world class corporations such as PepsiCo, Heinz, Sara Lee, MillerCoors, and ConAgra Foods. Susanne was an avid animal lover and dog trainer. She also enjoyed astronomy, healthy cooking, and most of all, consistently beating her husband, Gary at Scrabble! 

A service will be held at a later date. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA).

Monique M. Wehry
, 95, of Northumberland formerly Ashland passed away Wednesday morning at home.

She was born on February 28, 1927 in Coutisse, Belgium and was the daughter of the late Jeanne (Guillod) and Emile Sevrin.

Monique attended school in Belgium before meeting her late husband Robert L. Wehry during WWII.

She was of the Evangelical faith and was a former member of Zion E.C. Church, Pitman and Christ E.C.- Lavelle.

She liked reading, listening to music, being a caregiver, and spending time with her family. Monique also loved playing with her dog Copper

In addition to her husband she is preceded in death by; sisters Laure Degee, Eveline Laminier, & Yvonne Stepperich; brothers Armand Sevrin & Antoine Sevrin.

Monique is survived by; daughter Yvonne Wineholt wife of Dennis, Northumberland; son Richard Wehry husband of Andrea, Berwick; son Randall Wehry husband of Wendy, Northumberland; son Rodney Wehry husband of Anita, New Ringgold; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandsons; many nieces & nephews in Belgium.

Monique’s services will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to either memorial funeral at Zion E.C. Church, 247 Zion Church Rd, Pitman PA 17964 or Christ E.C.-Lavelle, 362 Main St, Lavelle, PA 17943.
