A pedestrian was injured over the holiday after being struck by a vehicle in Pine Grove Township.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, on Monday, July 4th, 2022 around 5:50pm, an 18 year old male was walking on the eastbound shoulder of East Pottsville Street near Pine Grove.
The pedestrian entered the roadway in front of a Jeep Compass. As the Jeep slowed and utilized the horn, the pedestrian ran in front of the vehicle, striking the pedestrian.
The victim sustained multiple scrapes and was transported to an area hospital via Tremont Ambulance with minor injuries.
The driver of the Jeep will not faces charges for the crash.
