One Arrested on Drug Charges After Investigation at Pottsville Housing Development


A Pottsville man is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison on drug charges.

According to Pottsville Police Chief Richard Wojciechwosky, as a result of an ongoing drug investigation conducted by the Pottsville Bureau of Police Drug Investigation Unit centered in the John O’Hara Housing development and conducted with the cooperation of the Pottsville Housing Authority, a search warrant was served at 640 JOH on Thursday, October 13th, 2022. 

The search warrant yielded a sellable amount of methamphetamine, packaging materials, and cash. 

As a result, Justin Williams, 40, of Pottsville, was taken into custody and charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, two counts possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Williams was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Reiley and committed to Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $15,000 cash bail.
