State Police Identify Victim of Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Cass Township

The Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville have identified the victim of a fatal motorcycle crash in Cass Township on Thursday afternoon.

According to Troopers, Thursday's crash occurred as William Flynn Jr., 60, of Branch Township was traveling north on Valley Road in a Ram 2500 and Leonard Kristoff, 61, of Pottsville was traveling south on a Harley-Davidson Sportster.

Police say Flynn attempted to make a left turn into the parking lot of Hammer's Towing and was struck by Kristoff.

Kristoff was thrown from the motorcycle and landed in a gravel lot on the berm of the roadway.

Kristoff passed away at the scene and was pronounced by a Schuylkill County Deputy Coroner.

Valley Road was closed for several hours while the scene was investigated.

Assisting at the scene were the PSP CARS Unit, Minersville EMS, South Cass Fire Company, Minersville Fire/Rescue, and Heckscherville Fire Company.
