Three from Frackville Locked Up in Schuylkill County Prison for Assault

Three people from Frackville are locked up in Schuylkill County Prison for assault.

According to Frackville Police Chief Paul Olson, on Monday October 3rd, 2022 around 1:15pm, Frackville Police were dispatched to 53 N. Railroad Ave for a Domestic Disturbance. 

Upon arrival, assisted by West Mahanoy Township Police and Shenandoah Police, contact was made with Darren Kroh, 21, Brittany Marks, 30, and Paul Townsend, 49, all of Frackville. 

An investigation led to learning that all were related family members and were involved in a physical altercation resulting in injury to all parties. 

Marks and Townsend were taken into custody pursuant to Domestic Violence. 

Kroh was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital in Pottsville by Shenandoah EMS for treatment of his injuries. He was subsequently taken into custody at the hospital, with assistance of Pottsville Police, pursuant to Domestic Violence. 

Criminal complaints were completed, charging all three parties with Simple Assault. 

A preliminary arraignment was held with Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli and bail was set at 10% of $5,000 for all three parties respectively. 

Not being able to post bail, Kroh, Marks and Townsend were all committed to Schuylkill County Prison where they remain as of this posting.
