PennDOT is urging motorists to avoid unnecessary travel but those who must head out will see speeds reduced to 55 mph on Interstate 81.
On roadways with speed restrictions, commercial vehicles not affected by restrictions on these or other roadways must move to the right lane.
The speed restrictions currently stretch from the Interstate 78 interchange in Lebanon County, through Schuylkill County, to the Interstate 80 interchange in Luzerne County
