As of 8:00pm, Tuesday, Interstate 81 southbound is closed at the Hegins Exit.
Around 7:30pm, emergency personnel were called to mile marker 107 for a motor vehicle accident. Conditions at the time were reported by emergency personnel to be treacherous and foggy with the crash blocking both southbound lanes.
Additional personnel were called to Exit 112/Hegins to shut down the Interstate.
