Police and Fire Chief 68 were first on scene and found the home at 812 Nepolt Street fully involved and called in a working fire.
The victim that lived in the home did escape but was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
The fire heavily damaged the home and also caused heat damage to the homes nearby.
The fire was marked under control just after 9:00am. A State Police Fire Marshal was requested to the scene.
All fire personnel and fire apparatus were clear of the scene by 12:30pm.
