Evelyn Marie Jones
, 82, of New Ringgold, passed away Saturday, January 21st, at her residence, with her family by her side.

Evelyn was born in West Hazleton on November 12, 1940, a daughter of the late Eva and Leonard Hunsinger.

She was the wife of Barry D. Jones. They were married on August 5th, 1962.
She graduated from West Hazleton High School, Class of 1958 and she was employed in clerical positions during her life.

Evelyn was a member of the Orwigsburg Chapter #424 Order of the Eastern Star; Senior Citizen's Activity Center, Orwigsburg; Little Schuylkill Lioness; Pottsville Christian Woman's Club; Zion Women's Guild; Ladies Auxiliary Life Member New Ringgold Fire Company; Christ Church Circle of Friends; Schuylkill County Council For The Arts; O.W.L.S. and she was a supporter of Child Evangelism Fellowship. In earlier years, she taught Sunday School and assisted with Good News Club. She attended Christ Church Mckeansburg, Friedens Lutheran Church and Faith Church.

In addition to her husband Barry of 60 years, Evelyn is survived by her son, Scott Jones , husband of Dr. Denise Jones, of the New Ringgold area; two brothers, Ralph Hunsinger, husband of Jean, of Hometown, PA; Gerald Hunsinger, of Hazle Township, PA; Brother-in- law Bruce Jones, husband of Ann.
Evelyn was a Godmother to Joshua Reenock and Harry Kehm. She is also survived by her best family friend, Linda Herb, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 28th at Christ Church McKeansburg, with Rev. Jon Heim officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Ringgold Fire Company, 25 North Railroad Street, New Ringgold, PA 17960.

Emerita Theresa Depos
, 87, lifelong resident of Tamaqua, PA died on Sunday, January 22, 2023, in Coaldale, PA. She was the wife of the late John J. Depos to whom she was married 56 years when he died on October 15, 2014. 

Born in Coaldale, on March 6, 1935, Emerita was a daughter of the late Thomas and Marguerite (Kelly) Hanlon. A 1953 graduate of the former St. Jerome High School, she operated a beauty shop in the basement of her home until 1980. In 1980, she and John along with her brother-in-law and sister-in-law opened the famous Chili Dog in Tamaqua which they ran until it closed in 2014. Emerita was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Wilkes Barre, PA. 

She is survived by daughter, Monica Russup and her companion, Edward Kashmer of Tamaqua; grandchildren, Taryn Depos, Marisol Depos, and Jesenia Depos; great grandchildren, Cohen Johnny Miller; sister, Catherine Jeronis; and several nephews and nieces. 

In addition to her husband, Emerita was predeceased by grandson, John S. Russup in 2009 and siblings, Robert Hanlon, Bernadette Swetz, Leonard Hanlon, Alice Jeronis, Andrew Hanlon, Thomas Hanlon, Marguerite Radcavage, and Marian Krapf. 

Services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at the Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home, 500 East Broad Street with The Rev. Kevin Roberts officiating. Call 9-11 on Saturday at the funeral home. Entombment in Sky View Memorial Park Mausoleum will follow the service. 

Donations may be made toward funeral expenses c/o Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home. 

Arrangements are being handled by the Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Tamaqua.

Jay D. Lohman , Sr.
, 84, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Sunday, January 22nd, at Orwigsburg Center, Orwigsburg.

Jay was born in Pottsville, on March 18, 1938, a son of the late Margaret E. (Boyer) and Jay M. Lohman.

He was the widower of Anita A. "Sis" (Breslin) Lohman who died in 2012.

He previously worked in Parts Department at Earl Stoyer Cadillac and Oldsmobile, Schuylkill Haven, and numerous local textile factories as a knitting machine operator.

Jay enjoyed as a hobby cars, motor cycles and model trains. He once had his car in the Hot Rod Magazine after restoring it.

Jay is survived by a son, Jay D.Jr. fiancee Lisa Weber, of Schuylkill Haven, a grandson Jay D. III fiancee Marissa Jay of Columbia PA a sister, Jayne Sharadin, of Schuylkill Haven.

Services are private at the convenience of the family with burial in Union Cemetery Schuylkill Haven.

Larry L. Moyer, 72, of RD Pottsville, passed away Saturday, January 21st, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Schuylkill, E. Norwegian St.

Larry was born in Allentown, PA on September 9, 1950 a son of the late Carrie (Moyer) and Charles Moyer.

He last worked as a Salesperson at Sears.

Larry was a Penn State Master Garderner and a member of the South Schuylkill Garden Club and Schuylkill County Conservancy. He was a superb photographer and was listed in the Who's Who of Photography.

Larry is survived by his significant other Jeanne Zulick RD Pottsville and a aunt Dorothy Moyer of Kutztown

Celebration of life memorial services will be held at Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home Inc. Schuylkill Haven on Saturday January 28 at 11 am with a visitation from 10 - 11 am.

Family would prefer rememberances in the form of contributions to Ruth Steinert Memorial SPCA 18 Wertz Drive, Pine Grove PA 17963

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Mary Kathleen Adams, 91, of Helfenstein, passed away at her residence early Friday morning.

Born in Mahanoy Plane, January 16, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Matthew and Virginia Smerlick Wonn.

She graduated from the former Immaculate Heart Academy, Fountain Springs and the Ashland Hospital School of Nursing.

Mary Kathleen was a registered nurse having worked as a private duty nurse for several years. She previously worked as a nurse at the State Correctional Institution at Camp Hill and the former Ashland Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband Foster Adams, two sons; James “Jimmy” Adams and John Adams; a sister; Elaine Hummel and two brothers Francis and Joseph Wonn.

Mary Kathleen is survived by three sons; Michael Adams and his wife Debbie, Middletown; Joseph Adams and his wife Denise, Carlisle and Thomas Adams, Helfenstein; a daughter; Mary Garraway, Frackville; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Delores M. Petrulsky, 86, of McAdoo, passed away suddenly Monday morning at her home.

Born in McAdoo, she was the daughter of the late John and Veronica (Stasek) Stratchko.

She was a member of the former St. Mary of the Assumption Church, McAdoo and Church of All Saints, McAdoo.

Prior to retiring, Delores was employed at McAdoo Manufacturing.

She was a member of the McAdoo Prime Timers and active for many years supporting the McAdoo Lions Club Blood Drive.

Delores was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, and she will be sadly missed by all.

Preceding her in death, were her husband, Robert M. Petrulsky (2017); brothers, John, Robert, Joseph, and Daniel Stratchko; and sisters, Anna Comisky and Dorothy Stratchko.

Surviving are her son, Jeffrey Petrulsky and wife Josette, Slatington; daughters Terry Hartz and husband David, Weatherly; and Lorrie Chilinskas and husband William of Kline Twp; grandchildren, Krista, Maura, Cory, Jonathan, Sammy, Lexi, and Kendall; great-grandson Cooper; sisters, Helen Korinchock, McAdoo; Marian Harmonsky, Tresckow; and Veronica Martonick and husband Ronald, Tresckow; and many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Friday. The Rev. Gregory Hosler will conduct the service at 2 p.m. at the Damiano Funeral Home Inc., McAdoo. Interment will follow in St. Michael’s B.C. Cemetery, McAdoo.

A calling hour will be held Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. in the funeral home.
