MAHANOY TOWNSHIP - According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, this crash occurred on Thursday, January 12th, 2023, around 6:10am on Interstate 81 near mile marker 132.Troopers say Peter Caparro, 62, of Hazleton, was driving his Kia Sportage southbound on Interstate 81 when he lost control of his vehicle and traveled down an embankment into the center median.
Caparro's vehicle sustained damaged to the front bumper, fender, and front headlight. The vehicle's curtain airbags also deployed and required towing.
Caparro was not injured. Caparro was cited for the crash.

WALKER TOWNSHIP - According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, this crash occurred on Wednesday, January 11th, 2023, around 4:00pm on Valley Road.
Police say Derrick Wenrich, 50, of Tamaqua fell asleep while driving and side swiped a tree before striking a utility pole.
Wenrich was not injured and was cited for careless driving.

FOSTER TOWNSHIP - According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, this crash occurred on Saturday, January 7th, 2023, just before 11:00pm on Sunbury Road/Route 901.
Troopers say Luke Ferhat, 52, of Ashland was traveling north when he went off the roadway and struck a tree.
Ferhat was arrested for driving under the influence.

WEST BRUNSWICK TOWNSHIP - According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, this crash occurred on Monday, January 16th, 2023, around 8:30am on Pinedale Industrial Road.
Troopers say Karl Kelby, 60, of Roslyn, was driving a Mack Trucks GR64F when he took a left turn in the roadway too fast, overturning his truck onto the shoulder.
Kelby was not injured and was cited for driving his vehicle too fast.

NORTH MANHEIM TOWNSHIP - According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, this crash occurred on Thursday, January 12th, 2023, on Route 61 near the intersection with Pottsville Street.
Troopers say Charles Borowski, 60, of Blakely, was traveling north when he attempted to make a left turn onto Pottsville Street rather than use the jug handle. Borowski collided with Tamela Wytovich, 52, of Pottsville.
Wytovich suffered minor injuries and was transported to hospital for evaluation. Borowski was not injured.
Borowski was cited for making an improper left turn.

FRAILEY TOWNSHIP - According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, this crash occurred on Thursday, January 12th, 2023, around 8:30am on Shermans Mountain Road.
Troopers say this two-vehicle hit and run crash occurred when an unidentified vehicle coming off the Interstate 81 ramp at exit 112 pulled out from the stop sign and collided with a vehicle driven by Jillian Witmer, 40, of Valley View on Route 25.
After the crash, the female driver of the vehicle got out of her vehicle, asked if Witmer was alright. When the driver found out she is ok, the female got back in her vehicle and left the scene.

WAYNE TOWNSHIP - According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, this crash occurred on Friday, January 6th, 2023, around 2:40am on Route 183.
Troopers say Matthew Snukis, 59, of Pottsville was traveling south when he struck a deer, causing disabling damage to the front of his Nissan Pathfinder.
Snukis was not injured but his vehicle was towed from the scene.
Womer's Towing assisted at the crash.

CRESSONA - According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, this crash occurred on Monday, January 16th, 2023, around 12:15pm on Sillyman Street near the Intersection with Pottsville Street.
Troopers say William Armstead Jr. 24, of Frackville was traveling north on when he attempted to make a left turn without yielding onto Pottsville Street and turned in front of Nicholas Matz, 19, of Schuylkill Haven.
Matz's Ford Fusion collided with the front passenger side of Armstead's Toyota Camry.
No injuries were reported and both vehicles were towed from the scene.
Armstead was cited for making an improper left turn.
