Death in Pottsville Ruled Homicide

A death in Pottsville has been ruled a homicide.

According to Pottsville Police Chief John Morrow, on Monday February 13, 2023, around 11:00am, city police officers were sent to the Market Square Apartment complex for a report of a female being found deceased. 

Inside one of the apartments, the responding officers found a 22-year-old female who was deceased, and an infant crying.

On Tuesday February 14, 2023, an autopsy was performed at the Dauphin County Coroner’s Office by Dr. Wayne Ross, and it was determined that the cause of death was found to be a Homicide. 

Chief Morrow says the investigation in on-going, and based on the information received, this is an isolated incident and there is no danger to the community.
