The Shenandoah Police Department is investigating a report of a robbery on Thursday.
According to police, the incident occurred in the 100 block of north Bower Street on February 9, 2023.
A female victim told police she was walking north in the 100 block of North Bower Street and was ambushed from behind by a male who displayed a handgun in the waist of his pants.

When the victim initially refused, the suspect reached into the pocket of her overcoat and removed a cigarette purse.
The suspect fled north on Bower Street to Coal Street.
The suspect is described as lighter complected, possibly Hispanic male, in his 20's, of medium build and wearing black clothing and a black face mask.
The victim was uninjured during the incident.
