A crash has closed Route 61 southbound south of Frackville.
The crash occurred just before 4:30pm in the southbound lanes of the grade and is reported to involve one vehicle that struck the rock embankment. Traffic is backlogged on the grade. Early indications were there are no injuries reported.
Fire personnel have been advised to close the highway at the entrance to the Schuylkill Mall.
