PennDOT has announced that paving work will take place overnight this week between Pottsville and Schuylkill Haven.
Starting Monday, April 16th, 2023, road crews will begin paving Route 61 between 7:00pm and 6:00am.
The work is part of the $7,026,789 project that PennDOT announced earlier this year.
This week's work will take place between Manheim Road in Schuylkill Haven and the Mount Carbon Arch. Lane restrictions will be in place in both directions.
The work includes milling, paving base repairs, guide rail updates, ramps work, and pavement markings.
This section of the project is expected to be completed on Friday, April 21, 2023.
