BUSTED: McAdoo Man Faces Retail Theft Charges for Stealing Over $1,200 in Merchandise


A McAdoo man is facing retail theft charges for allegedly stealing over $1,200 in merchandise from a Berks County store.

According to Tilden Township Police, on March 18th, 2023, around noon, Nicholas Caputo, 42, of McAdoo, entered the Lowes in Hamburg, Berks County.

While in the store, he selected $1,219.98 worth of tools and other items, then sprinted out of the store through garden section, loaded the items in his vehicle and sped off.

After the incident occurred, Tilden Township Police, posted his photo on social media, and were able to obtain a positive identification through tips.

Caputo will have a preliminary arraignment on April 17th, 2023, before Magisterial District Judge Kim L. Bagenstose on a felony charge of retail theft and misdemeanor receiving stolen property.
