An egg hunt for children with special needs was held on Sunday in Minersville.
Dustin's Adventureland in Minersville, a playground built specifically for children with special needs, was born from a group of people that came together to create the original Dustin's Special Egg Hunt in 2019.
The inaugural egg hunt, made specifically for children with special needs, was held and it was meant to be a yearly event.
COVID-19 came along the following year and continued to deter the plans each year since. In 2023, that wasn't going to stop organizers. This time, they had the perfect location to hold the event, right next to Dustin's Adventureland.
Roughly 100 children took part in the egg hunt, which allowed them to have a fun-filled afternoon.
Fun characters like Mickey Mouse and SpongeBob SquarePants joined in on the fun.
All the children went home with egg-filled baskets and prizes.
