Wanted Shenandoah Man in Custody After Attempting to Flee State Police

A wanted man from Shenandoah is facing additional charges after he attempted to flee State Police.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, on March 29th, 2023, around 1:00pm, Troopers were on Pioneer Road in the Turkey Run section of Shenandoah investigating the whereabouts of 27-year-old Robert Moncrief.

Moncrief was wanted on warrants from Schuylkill and Berks Counties.

Troopers later observed Moncrief driving in the area, but after he spotted State Police, he fled on foot and a chase ensued.

Moncrief would later surrender behind the former Shenandoah Farmers Market and would be taken into custody.

State Police charged Moncrief with Felony Flight to Avoid Apprehension and Driving with a Suspended License for DUI.

He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker, and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison on $25,000 straight cash bail.
