The call came in just after 6:30pm with a report of a motor home on fire at mile marker 118 (Between Minersville and High Ridge)
State Police were first on scene to report the rear of the motor home was fully engulfed.
Units from Frackville, Minersville, and Cass Township have been called to the scene along with a tanker task force.
Around 6:50pm, a call was made to shut down the northbound lanes of Interstate 81 at the Minersville Exit.
