Schuylkill Haven Man Allegedly Steals over $1,000 from Walmart

ST. CLAIR - On Monday, June 19, 2023, the St. Clair Police Department charged Tyler Schaeffer, 27, of Schuylkill Haven with misdemeanor theft by unlawful taking.

Police say on January 31, 2023, he stole $1,390 from the store in St. Clair.

Man and Woman Face Child Endangerment Charges After Altercation

ST. CLAIR - On June 9, 2023, the St. Clair Police Department charged Lewis Krolick, 54, and Jennifer Sleva, 44, both of Pottsville with felony child endangerment charges and summary harassment.

The pair was charged after an incident on May 28th, 2023, when they were involved in a physical altercation in a moving vehicle in the borough.  A child was in the vehicle at the time of the incident.

Both are scheduled to appear before Magisterial District Judge Plachko, Port Carbon, on July 18, 2023.

State Police Investigate Vandalism in Tremont

TREMONT - According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, sometime between June 12th, 2023, and June 16, 2023, someone spray painted an orange X on a fence on West Laurel Street.

Charges Ran on Stolen Credit Card

WAYNE TOWNSHIP - According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, a Wayne Township woman reported the theft of her credit card.  From May 30, 2023 to June 5, 2023, $1,304.02 in fraudulent purchases were made with the card.

Items Reported Stolen from Storage Unit

WEST MAHANOY TOWNSHIP - According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, Troopers responded to a burglary that was reported to have occurred between May 22, 2023 and June 18, 2023 from a storage unit along Altamont Boulevard near Frackville.

The items reported stolen included:
  • 17" HP Computer Monitor
  • Jeep Wrangler Halo Headlight with Amber Turn Signals
  • 48" Vizio Television
  • Snake Eye Golf Clubs with a black bag
