The Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville are investigating an armed robbery that occurred late Monday in East Union Township.
According to troopers, on Monday, August 28th, 2023, around 9:15pm, an unknown white male entered the Sheppton Mini Market on Center Street in Sheppton.
The male brandished a small handgun and demanded money from the cash register. The suspect then ordered the employees into the walk-in cooler and fled the scene with approximately $700.
The suspect was reported to have fled the scene on foot traveling north towards Hazle Township.
