Shenandoah Valley Sports Hall of Fame Welcomes Nine New Inductees


As the anticipation for the upcoming football season reached its peak, the Shenandoah Valley Sports Hall of Fame took center stage by introducing and honoring nine exceptional alumni.

The ceremony, held just before the kickoff of the highly awaited Shenandoah Valley football season, paid tribute to these accomplished individuals for their remarkable contributions to the world of sports.

The presentation of the inductees was a poignant moment, symbolizing the legacy of athleticism and dedication that continues to thrive within the Shenandoah Valley community. Standing proudly, side by side, the honored alumni were showcased.

Among the inductees were luminaries such as:
  •  Sam Matta, whose sports writing acumen has left an indelible mark since his days at Shenandoah High School in 1966. 
  • Tim Twardzik, graduate of the Class of 1977 and current State Representative for 123rd District.
  • Mark Palubinsky, Class of 2003.
  • Allison Palubinsky Rizzo, a member of the Shenandoah Valley Class of 2004
  • Nina Bindie Tedesco, Shenandoah Valley Class of 2001
  • Ahna Huss, Shenandoah Valley Class of 2013,
  • Kristina Nieddu, Class of 2015
  • Abigail Snitzer, Class of 2015
Absent from the ceremony was Wally Hall, Class of 1994.  Hall is the current Head Coach of the North Schuylkill Spartan Football Team and was at their game against Mount Carmel.  Accepting the honor on his behalf were Shenandoah Valley Athletic Directors Chris Conroy and Jeff Maksimik.
