The driver of a truck was flown to an area hospital Thursday afternoon after a crash on Interstate 81 Schuylkill County.
The crash occurred around 3:15pm, Thursday, in the northbound lanes of Interstate 81 at mile marker 119 just north of the Highridge exit.
No details have been released on the crash, but it involved a truck hauling a dumpster that went over the guardrail and went down a small embankment.
The driver of the truck was transported to the Schuylkill County Airport and flown with unknown injuries.
As of 6:45pm, Interstate 81 northbound is still down to one lane as crews cleanup the scene. Traffic is backed up to the Minersville Exit.
Responding to the scene were fire companies from Frackville, Englewood, and Minersville along with Minersville EMS.
