A Pottsville man is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison for an alleged assault in St. Clair.
According to Saint Clair Borough Police, on Sunday, October 15th, 2023, while officers were on patrol, they were flagged down by a female who stated her boyfriend assaulted her.
The woman told police that her boyfriend, Benjamin Kramer, 26, of Pottsville, had his arm around her throat causing her to struggle to breath. Red marks were visible around her neck area.
Kramer was taken into custody in the 200 Block of Nicholas Street.
St. Clair Police charged him with aggravated assault, strangulation, simple assault, and harassment.
Kramer was arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison on $25,000 straight cash bail.
