Frackville Man Sustains Minor Injuries in Rollover Crash


A man suffered minor injuries in a rollover crash in Frackville earlier this week.

According to Frackville Police, on Tuesday October 17th, 2023, around 8:30am, emergency personnel were dispatched to the 600 block of W. Oak St for a Motor Vehicle Accident. 

Fire and police arrived to find a vehicle on its side.

Investigation revealed that Jonathon Kost, 29, of Frackville was traveling east on W. Oak St in a Toyota sedan and was rounding a left curve, just before Boyer’s Market. 

Kost’s vehicle veered to the right side of the road, exited the roadway, struck a pedestrian sign, and fixed post in the ground. 

The vehicle then turned on its passenger side, continued sliding on the sidewalk and struck a residence on the corner of W. Oak St and S. 4th St. 

Kost was able to exit the vehicle on his own and suffered minor injuries.

As a result of the incident, Kost will be cited with failing to safely maintain his lane of travel.

Frackville Police were assisted by Good Will Fire Company., Shenandoah EMS, Shenandoah Police, West Mahanoy Township Police, and Butler Township Police.
