The investigation determined a 2011 Chevrolet sedan operated by Vincent Bayer, 29, of New Philadelphia, failed to stop for a red signal while traveling east and collided with a 2016 Hyundai coupe operated by a 69-year-old Pottsville man, who was traveling south on Jackson Street. The Pottsville man sustained a minor injury and was transported to an area hospital for evaluation.
As a result, Bayer was cited for a red-light violation.
