Pottsville Man Arrested for Alleged Years-Long Sexual Assault on Teen Victim


A Pottsville man is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison for allegations of rape and sexual assault of a teen.
According to Pottsville Chief John Morrow, on Monday November 27, 2023, around 4:00pm, The Pottsville Bureau of Police began an investigation regarding a 17-year-old female alleging she has been the victim of an on-going sexual assault. 

 The Detective Division interviewed the victim who disclosed that she had been sexually assaulted on Sunday November 26, 2023, by a male she identified as 35-year-old Joshua Jusino of Pottsville. 

 The victim reported that Jusino had victimized her on multiple occasions at various locations throughout the City of Pottsville. 

Jusino was contacted on Monday by members of the Pottsville Bureau of Police and agreed to speak to officers concerning this allegation. 

During his interview, Jusino confessed to sexually assaulting the victim over a period of years while he had access to the victim. 

Jusino was charged with Rape, Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse, Indecent Assault, Endangering the Welfare of Children and Corruption of Minors. 

 Jusino was arraigned before on-call Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli who committed Jusino to the Schuylkill County Prison after he was unable to post $250,000 straight cash bail. 

 Jusino's preliminary hearing has been scheduled for December 6, 2023, at 10:00am, before Magisterial District Justice James Reiley.
