BOYS BASKETBALL: Tamaqua Area Falls Short Against North Schuylkill in Hard-Fought Basketball Matchup


The Tamaqua Area Boys Basketball Team traveled to North Schuylkill Wednesday night.
The Tamaqua Area Raiders hit the court with a 1-1 record, securing a victory against Shenandoah Valley and experiencing a setback against Mount Carmel.

Their opponents, the North Schuylkill Spartans, boasted a pristine 1-0 record following a triumph over Minersville.

As the first quarter came to a close, North Schuylkill led 12-9. 

The halftime score tightened, with North Schuylkill maintaining a narrow advantage at 24-22. 

Tamaqua Area rallied in the third quarter, taking the lead with a score of 38-36. 

However, in the end, North Schuylkill emerged victorious with a final score of 58-49.

With this win, North Schuylkill improved to a 2-0 record and is gearing up for the Lebanon Tip Off Tournament this weekend.

On the flip side, Tamaqua Area's record dropped to 1-2, and they are set to face Nativity BVM at home on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 pm.
