Pottsville Man Back Behind Bars for Threatening Ex-Girlfriend

A Pottsville man is back behind bars at the Schuylkill County Prison after he allegedly threated his ex-girlfriend.

According to Pottsville Police, on Monday, December 4th, 2023, around 12:30pm, Pottsville Police were dispatched to contact a female victim in reference to harassment.

Patrolman Stephen Delinko made contact with the victim who reported she just received a phone call from her ex-boyfriend, Noah Russell, and he threatened her life. She added that Russell said "I'm coming to your house and I'm gonna do the same thing but I'm gonna kill you".

Patrolman Stephen Delinko noted that Russell is referring to burglarizing the victim’s house again, which he was arrested for in October of 2023 by Cass Township Police.

The victim proceeded to say that Russell's statement put her in fear of both her life and the life of her infant child, in which Russell is the father of. She was able to provide several messages from Russell's Facebook account that he sent during the early morning hours of 12/4/2023. Also, the victim explained the context of the messages and said Russell was trying to persuade her to withdraw testimony against him by showing affection but she refused. After refusing, she received the phone call from Russell threatening her life.

Based on the information received and messages provided by the female victim, Ptlm. Delinko completed a criminal complaint on Russell.

A warrant for his arrest was requested and he was charged with one count of Intimidation of a Witness/Victim (F1), one count of Terroristic Threats Pursuant to Domestic Violence (M1), and one count of Harassment (S).

Russell was later taken into custody and arraigned by Magisterial District Judge James Reiley, who set bail at $50,000 straight cash.

Russell was unable to post bail and was locked up in Schuylkill County Prison.

At the time of the arrest, Russell was out on bail for the previous burglary in Cass Township. Bail was revoked by the Schuylkill County District Attorney’s Office for the Cass Township charges.
