A man is facing charges after he allegedly stole firearms from a home in Ashland.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, on November 10th, 2023, troopers took a theft report in the 1900 Block of Centre Street in Ashland. The victim told police that several firearms were taken from a home by Jason Hozella, 44, of Tower City on August 5th, 2022, and not returned.
Along with stealing the firearms, Hozella is not allowed to possess firearms due to a prior conviction.
On Tuesday, December 5th, 2023, State Police filed 2 charges of possession of a firearm when prohibited and 2 charges of theft by unlawful taking through Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli's office.
