A Carbon County woman has died from injuries she suffered in a crash in Schuylkill County on Thursday.
According to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio, 42-year-old Nicole Oplinger, of Lansford was involved in a crash on Thursday, December 7th, 2023, around 2:50pm near the intersection of West Water Street and West Miner Street in Coaldale. Oplinger veered off the roadway and struck multiple trees.
Oplinger was transported to St. Lukes University Hospital in Bethlehem where she passed away from her injuries.
Buglio says her manner of death was ruled accidental and her cause of death as multiple traumatic injuries due to the motor vehicle collision.
In addition to the coroner's office, the Pennsylvania State Police from Frackville are also investigating.
