Quick Knock by Firefighters Stops Minersville Fire

Emergency personnel made quick work of a house fire in Minersville on Monday evening.

Just after 7:00pm, Monday, emergency personnel were called to 422 North Street, in Minersville for an unknown type fire.  As police and fire arrived on scene, smoke was found coming from the second floor of the home and a working structure fire was advised.

Firefighters went to work and were able to contain the fire to the home saving the connected row homes from any damage.  The fire was marked under control before the 20-minute par check.

A State Police Fire Marshal was requested to investigate a cause.
