Ashland Man Charged with Terroristic Threats and Harassment After Allegedly Threatening Mother

An Ashland man is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison for an incident in the borough on Sunday.

According to court papers filed by Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Justin Funk, 29-year-old Brian Maiese, of Ashland, has been charged with terroristic threats and harassment.

The charges stem from an incident that occurred on Sunday evening, February 25th, 2024, at a home in the 700 Block of Centre Street in Ashland where Maiese became aggressive towards his mother, shoved her against a stove, and threatened her by saying "I will decapitate you and leave your head on the counter".

His mother called 911 from outside the home, but when police arrived, he had already fled.

Maiese turned himself into police on Monday morning.  He was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge who set bail at $10,000 straight cash and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison.

Additional charges are pending per an incident that occurred during arraignment.

He remains locked up with a preliminary hearing scheduled for March 20th, 2024 before Judge Tarantelli.
