Firefighters are at the scene of a working house fire in Cressona on Wednesday morning.
Just before 10:30am, emergency personnel were dispatched to 67 Thomas Street, Cressona for a possible chimney fire.
As the first personnel arrived on scene, smoke was reported showing from the home with fire on the roof. A working fire was advised.
The fire struck a 2nd alarm shortly after calling in additional manpower.
As of 10:45am, radio traffic from interior firefighters reported knocking a fire on the 3rd floor of the home.
