The Schuylkill County Coroner's Office was requested to the scene of a brush fire near Tamaqua on Sunday afternoon.
Around 12:30pm, Sunday, emergency personnel were dispatched to 207 Owl Creek Road, Tamaqua for a report of a small brush fire, near a home. According to dispatch, the fire was small but growing.
As emergency personnel responded, additional information was received for a victim at the scene that was found near the fire.
When fire personnel arrived, the Schuylkill County Coroner's Office, Tamaqua Police, and DCNR was called to the scene.
