Frackville Man Locked Up in Schuylkill County Prison for Sexually Assaulting Teen

A Frackville man is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison for an alleged sexual assault of a teenager.

On March 26th, 2024, Frackville Borough Police Officer Joseph Murton filed charges against 37-year-old Jeffrey Leed, of Frackville through Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli' office.

Leed's charges include involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault, corruption of minors, indecent exposure, and indecent assault.

According to court documents, the charges stem from an investigation that began when Frackville Borough Police received a Childline Report on January 2nd, 2024.

An investigation by Officer Murton and Childline, which included interviewing the victim, led to investigators learning that Leed was the boyfriend of the victim's mother.

The victim told investigators that Leed entered her room at their home in Frackville sometime after the Thanksgiving holiday, between November 21st and November 25th, 2023.  During this encounter, Leed allegedly touched the victim inappropriately and continued to force himself on her.

Once the victim began to cry and pull away, Leed told her not to tell anyone and left the room.

Based on what was learned through the investigation, Frackville Police filed the above charges last week and took Leed into custody on Monday, April 1st, 2024.

Leed was arraigned Monday evening by on-call Magisterial District Judge Andrew J. Serina and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $50,000 straight cash bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 10th, 2024.
