St. Clair DUI Arrest

ST. CLAIR - According to St. Clair Police, on March 26th, 2024, borough police observed Sandra Davis operating a motor vehicle and was known to not have a valid driver's license.  A traffic stop found she was under the influence of marijuana and methamphetamine.  She was also found to be driving without valid insurance.

Davis was charged with DUI, driving with a suspended license, and driving without valid insurance.

St. Clair Man Charged with Criminal Trespass

ST. CLAIR - According to St. Clair Police, on April 3rd, 2024, Benjamin Kramer, of St.Clair was located on Schuylkill County Housing Authority property on Cherry Street.
 
Kramer was found attempting to hiding in a small closet when he was discovered by police.  Kramer had been previously advised of trespass on the property and had signed a written notice in November 2024 acknowledging he understood that he was not permitted on the property.

Kramer was charged by St. Clair Police with criminal trespass.

State Police Investigate Stolen F-150 in Coaldale


COALDALE - The Pennsylvania State at Frackville are investigating a report of a stolen vehicle in Coaldale. 

According to a report, a resident of Greenwood Street started his blue Ford F-150 on the afternoon of April 21st, 2024 and left his keys inside the unlocked running vehicle.  The victim returned to his residence to grab a garbage bag and upon returnin, his saw the truck driving away traveling east on Route 209.

Scrap Metal Stolen from Norwegian Township

NORWEGIAN TWP - According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, sometime between April 9th, 2024 and April 10th, 2024, someone stolen approximately $115 worth of secondary metal from a property on Main Street, Seltzer, Norwegian Township.

State Police say suspects were identified but charges have not been filed yet.

Pottsville Man Faces DUI Charges After Crash

According to Pottsville Police, on Sunday, April 14, 2024, just after 3:00pm, City Police were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at East Norwegian St. and Wolfe St.

Upon arrival, Police began an investigation into a two-car crash. 

The investigation revealed that Robert McCormick Jr., 72, of Pottsville who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol was traveling eastbound on East Norwegian St. and failed to navigate a right turn onto Wolfe St. striking a vehicle that was stopped on Wolfe St. facing northbound. 

McCormick who was driving a Toyota Rav4 then overcorrected the steering and struck the east side curb on Wolfe St. eventually causing his vehicle to become disabled. The Toyota Rav4 was towed from the scene. 

The other vehicle, driven by Nicholas Meyer, 40, of Pottsville, sustained minor damage. Meyer was not injured.

McCormick was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol and was transported to Lehigh Valley Health Network for BAC testing. The result of McCormick’s BAC was that he had a BAC of .22%.

As a result of this investigation, a criminal complaint was filed on April 23, 2024, by Det. Joseph Krammes on Robert McCormick Jr. charging him with one count of DUI – highest rate a felony of the third degree, DUI – general impairment a felony of the third degree, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle a misdemeanor of the second degree and reckless driving a summary offense.
