A home was destroyed by fire Thursday morning in Valley View.
Just after 9:00am, emergency personnel were dispatched to 1030 West Maple Street, Hegins for a report of a house fire.
As the first firefighters arrived on scene, a working fire was advised as fire was blowing from the front of the single house.
As of 10:45am, firefighters were still fighting active fire. Units from all around Schuylkill County have been called to the scene.
All occupants of the home escaped. Early on, a dog was reported to be in the home, but no details were available if the dog was rescued.
