St. Clair Man Charged After Armed Incident, Remains in Schuylkill County Prison



A man is behind bars after an armed incident in St. Clair led to multiple felony charges.
On May 24, 2025, St. Clair Police responded to a call on East Caroline Avenue for a report of a man brandishing a firearm. Upon arrival, officers encountered two victims who stated that Antonio Lee McCord, 33, was acting intoxicated and aggressively while waving a black handgun, causing them to fear for their lives.

Officers located McCord inside a heavily tinted Hyundai near the scene. During the encounter, police discovered a loaded 9mm Ruger handgun in his possession. A background check revealed that McCord is a convicted felon and prohibited from owning or possessing firearms. He is also currently on probation in Delaware County for similar firearm-related offenses.

As a result of the investigation, McCord has been charged with the following:
  • Possession of Firearm Prohibited (F2)
  • Firearms Not To Be Carried Without a License (F3)
  • Simple Assault (M2)
  • Disorderly Conduct – Hazardous/Physically Offensive Condition (M3)
  • Public Drunkenness (Summary)
  • Harassment – Course of Conduct With No Legitimate Purpose (Summary)
McCord was arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge James Reiley and remanded to Schuylkill County Prison on $25,000 straight cash bail.  As of June 4th, 2025, magisterial records show that he remains in prison.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 8, 2025.
