Minersville Woman Charged in Burglary and Theft Incident

A homeless woman from Minersville is facing multiple charges after she allegedly entered a borough residence without permission and stole property earlier this month.
According to the Minersville Borough Police Department, 40-year-old Brandina Grass, whose address is listed as homeless, has been charged with felony burglary, felony criminal trespass, and two misdemeanor counts of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, when Schuylkill County Dispatch received a report of a suspicious person inside a home in the 300 Block of Sunbury Street. Patrolman Wilson responded to the scene around 3:04 p.m. and spoke with the residents of the home.

According to residents, an unknown woman entered his apartment without permission and refused to leave, even after being told to do so several times. The resident said the woman then began taking items from the home before eventually leaving.

The residents provided police with a description and photo of the suspect, and shortly after canvassing the area, a woman who matched the description was found.

Police identified her as Brandina Grass.

Grass was found to be in possession of a plastic bag containing quarters, which the resident claimed were his and had been taken from beside his gaming console.

A written statement from the resident corroborated the account, leading police to file charges against Grass.
