
The 34th Annual Moms for Make-A-Wish® Softball Tournament is set to return to Island Park in Schuylkill Haven, bringing a weekend of softball, food, and fundraising to support local children facing critical illnesses.
The tournament will take place across two weekends at Schuylkill Haven Island Park:
- Friday, July 25: 6 to 8 p.m. (Opening ceremony and games)
- Saturday, July 26: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Sunday, July 27: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Saturday, August 2: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Washington Hotel Food Truck will be on-site July 25–27, offering a variety of food and drinks. On Saturday, July 26, the truck will serve a special pig roast meal with pork, mac and cheese, and coleslaw. Plates are $15, with 25% of each meal going to Make-A-Wish® Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
Since 1991, the Moms for Make-A-Wish® Softball League has raised funds to help grant wishes for children in Schuylkill County battling critical illnesses. This year, the league has already raised more than $28,000, thanks to team-led fundraisers and community support.
