A wanted Schuylkill County man was taken into custody after leading police in a pursuit in March 2025.
On Friday, March 7, 2025, Pennsylvania State Police Jonestown officers observed Lee Dubois, 46, of Hegins operating a tractor-trailer near Franzosa Trucking on Route 209 in Frailey Township, Schuylkill County.Dubois was known to have an active felony warrant issued by PSP Schuylkill Haven for Aggravated Assault by Motor Vehicle.
When troopers attempted to initiate a traffic stop, Dubois refused to yield and fled the scene in the tractor-trailer, leading authorities on a pursuit along Route 209 onto East Franklin Road. The chase continued until Dubois attempted to drive the vehicle off the roadway onto a dirt path. The tractor-trailer became disabled, at which point Dubois abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot into a wooded area. Despite immediate search efforts, he evaded capture at that time.
Following the incident, PSP Jonestown filed additional felony charges against Dubois, including Flight to Avoid Apprehension, Fleeing and Eluding, and Resisting Arrest.
On June 26, 2025, Dubois was taken into custody. He was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge David Rossi and committed to Schuylkill County Prison in lieu of $50,000 straight cash bail.
Authorities did not immediately release further details about the circumstances of his apprehension.
