Ashland Borough to Host 2nd Annual Community Night at Memorial Field

The 2nd Annual Ashland Community Night Out is set for Tuesday, August 12, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Field. 

The event, which is free and open to the public, aims to unite residents, local organizations, and emergency services in a celebration of community spirit, safety, and partnership.

More than 30 local organizations and agencies are slated to participate in this year’s event.

Featured participants include:

• Ashland Police Department
• Butler Township Police Department
• Washington Fire Company and Ladies Auxiliary
• American Hose Company and Ladies Auxiliary
• Washington Fire Company Ambulance
• Ashland Fire Police
• Borough of Ashland
• Schuylkill County Sheriff’s Office
• Schuylkill County Emergency Management Agency
• Pennsylvania Canine Search and Rescue

The event also brings together a variety of civic and youth-focused groups such as the Ashland Elks, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, local churches, the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, the Ashland Black Diamond Cheerleaders, and the Cross Fire Youth Center, all of whom will be on hand to engage with the public and showcase their work in the community.

Attendees will also get to take part in the "Touch-a-Truck" experience, where children (and adults) can get up close with a range of vehicles, including:

• Emergency response units
• Ashland Borough public works equipment
• Trucks and equipment from Burkes Diesel, Ash Resources, T&E Welding, Lash Towing, and A&F Towing

Geisinger LifeFlight is also scheduled to make an appearance, weather and scheduling permitting.

Free hot dogs, pierogies, and bottled water will be provided, courtesy of generous support from local sponsors and volunteers, while supplies last.

Organizers encourage all residents to attend, connect with neighbors, and enjoy an evening of fun, food, and community pride.
