POTTSVILLE (08/28/2025) - A portion of South Centre Street in Pottsville is closed Thursday afternoon due to a gas leak.
Just before 1:00pm, Thursday, emergency personnel were dispatched to 408 South Centre Street for a report of the gas leak.
By 2:00pm, South Centre from Mauch Chunk Street to Morris Street while crews began to work on fixing the problem.
There was no word as of this posting on when it is expected to reopen.
