St. Clair Man Accused of Harassing Special Needs Child at Boone Park


ST. CLAIR – A St. Clair man is facing multiple charges after police say he harassed and attempted to fight a special needs child during an incident at Admiral Boone Park on Tuesday.
According to St. Clair Borough Police, on August 12th, 2025, officers were called to the unit block of South 3rd Street around Boone Park for a disturbance. Witnesses reported that Kiyone Lymeek Sherwood, 19, attempted to fight a child who was both physically and mentally disabled.

Police say Sherwood allegedly threw the child’s bicycle, causing significant damage and rendering it unusable. Neighbors told officers they tried to intervene, but Sherwood then attempted to fight them as well.

During his arrest, police say they found suspected marijuana in Sherwood’s pocket.

Sherwood was arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge Andrew Serina and committed to Schuylkill County Prison on $2,500 bail, 10% cash. He posted bail the following day and was released.

He is facing the following charges:
  • Possession of Marijuana (Misdemeanor)
  • Disorderly Conduct – Hazardous/Physical Offense (Misdemeanor 3)
  • Criminal Mischief – Tampering with Property (Misdemeanor 3)
  • Two counts of Harassment – Course of Conduct Without Legitimate Purpose (Summary)
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 19, 2025, before Magisterial District Judge David Plachko.
