Frackville Police have announced parking and traffic restrictions ahead of Saturday's Schuylkill County Fireman’s Convention parade.
The Friendship Fire Company No. 1 of Englewood, Butler Township will host the annual Schuylkill County Fireman’s Convention parade on Saturday, August 16, 2025, with a start time of 1 p.m.
The parade will step off from the intersection of West Pine Street and Hickory Street, traveling west on West Pine, south on North Seventh Street, east on West Spring Street, south on Balliet Street, west on West Arch Street, north on South Second Street, and west on West Frack Street, ending at the intersection of West Frack and Seventh Street.
Road Closures and Detours
The parade route will be closed to traffic from noon until approximately 4 p.m., with no travel permitted on or across the route during that time. Due to a section of West Oak Street (Route 61) being closed for the event, a detour will be in place.

Southbound traffic will be directed from West Oak Street to South Third Street, east on West Laurel Street, and then to South Lehigh Avenue.

Northbound traffic will be detoured onto West Laurel Street, north on South Third Street, and back onto West Oak Street.
Staging Areas and Parking Restrictions
Fire apparatus will stage in several areas, including Hickory Street near the pool, the 200–300 blocks of North Second, North Center, and North Nice streets, West High Street from Elm Street to North Balliet Street, the 300–400 block of North Elm Street, West John Street from Elm to North Center streets, and North Stevens Street from West John to West High streets. Additional staging areas may be added if needed.
Parking restrictions will be enforced from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., or until the conclusion of the parade. No parking signs will be posted along the parade route, detour route, and staging areas. Vehicles parked in restricted zones may be ticketed and towed.
