
The Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville are investigating a theft that occurred Wednesday afternoon at the Hometown Farmers Market in Rush Township.
According to troopers, the incident happened around 3:30 p.m. on October 29, 2025, at the farmers market located at 125 Mahanoy Avenue. A 60-year-old woman from Northumberland, who rents a stand at the market to sell jewelry, reported that a ring had been stolen from her display.
The stolen item was described as a silver ring with a blue sapphire stone, valued at approximately $15.
Witnesses told police that the suspect is a white female, approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing around 110 pounds, and believed to be in her late 20s to early 30s. At the time of the theft, she was seen wearing a camouflage military-style cap and possibly a tan jacket.
A female witness reportedly observed the theft and informed the victim.
