PennDOT has announced several road work projects scheduled for next week in Schuylkill County.
Interstate 81 North – Pine Grove, Frailey, Tremont, Foster & Butler Townships
PennDOT will conduct daytime road work on Interstate 81 North between the Lebanon County line and Exit 119 (Highridge Park Road) from December 1–4. A northbound lane restriction will be in place daily from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Interstate 81 South – Pine Grove, Frailey, Tremont, Foster & Butler Townships
Daytime road work will also take place on Interstate 81 South between the Lebanon County line and Exit 119 (Highridge Park Road). The southbound lane will be restricted from December 1–4 between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
Interstate 81 North – Pine Grove, Frailey & Tremont Townships (Bridge Repair)
A separate northbound lane restriction for bridge repair will occur on Interstate 81 between the Lebanon County line and Exit 116 (PA 901). This work will take place December 1–4 from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Dutchtown Road – Butler Township
Dutchtown Road, between PA 901 and Gordon Road, will undergo crack sealing December 1–4. Work will occur from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM with lane restrictions and flagging in place.
Nuremburg Mountain Road – East Union Township
Crack sealing will take place on Nuremburg Mountain Road between Sheppton and Nuremburg from December 1–5. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
PA 924 – East Union Township
Daytime crack sealing will occur on PA 924 between the Luzerne County line and Sheppton from December 1–5. A lane restriction with flagging will be in effect from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Main Street – Butler & West Mahanoy Townships
Pothole patching will take place on Main Street between Girardville and Gilberton December 1–5. Lane restrictions with flagging will be in place daily from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
