Spooky Fun Marches Through Ashland as Halloween Parade Makes Its Comeback

The streets of Ashland were filled with spooky spirit and community pride on Saturday, October 25th, as the American Hose Company brought back the town’s Ashland Halloween Parade.

The event marked the first parade hosted by the American Hose Company, reviving a long-standing community tradition that had previously been organized for many years by the Ashland Rotary.

The parade followed Walnut Street to the American Hose Company firehouse where the afternoon continued with refreshments, treat bags, and a costume contest.

Once the parade reached the firehouse, participants were greeted with snacks and goodie bags before the judging began. Cash prizes were awarded in multiple categories including Scariest, Fanciest, Made in Ashland, Most Original, Most Creative, Most Effort, Best Presentation, Funniest, and Outstanding Overall, along with Small Float, Large Float, and Group Family (0–5 and 6+) categories.

The American Hose Company thanked everyone who came out to participate and support the return of the parade, and extended appreciation to the community members, volunteers, and borough officials who helped make the event possible.

Organizers say they hope to make the parade an annual tradition once again adding more floats, fire apparatus, and bands.
