O’Connor Law Helps Two Families in Need Through Annual Project O’Cheer

This holiday season, O’Connor Law continued its annual tradition of giving back to the community by helping two local families in need through its Project O’Cheer initiative.
This year, the law firm sponsored two families — one from the North Schuylkill School District and one from the Mount Carmel Area School District. After receiving the families’ Christmas wish lists, O’Connor Law attorneys and staff worked together to shop for, wrap, and personally deliver the gifts, ensuring each family had a brighter and less stressful holiday season.

Project O’Cheer has been a tradition at O’Connor Law since 2018. In its early years, the firm partnered with several organizations across Schuylkill County as part of Project Cheer, an initiative coordinated with the Frackville Police Department. A few years ago, the firm decided to continue the effort independently, renaming it Project O’Cheer.

Since then, the program has grown steadily, doubling in size and expanding from supporting one family to sponsoring two families each holiday season.

The families who received assistance expressed heartfelt gratitude and relief. While the holidays are meant to be filled with joy, they can also bring significant financial stress. O’Connor Law hopes Project O’Cheer helps ease that burden, allowing families to focus on celebrating the season together.

Attorneys and staff at O’Connor Law look forward to Project O’Cheer each year, with volunteers eager to assist with shopping, wrapping, and deliveries. The firm says the tradition has become a meaningful part of its holiday season and a highlight of giving back to the community it serves.
